100 things that make me, ME!
- I grew up in Utah.
- I never had any desire to live any where else.
- I am happy in Texas.
- I am afraid of snakes.
- When I am worried about something, I dream about snakes.
- Being a mom is the best thing I have ever done.
- I have not gone one day in nearly 14 years without hearing the words "I Love You" from Maris.
- I have a paralegal certificate.
- My Bachelor's degree is in Political Science. I have a minor in Sociology.
- I worked my way through college and did not ever take out a student loan.
- It took me from 1988-1996 to finish my education.
- I was Student Body President in college.
- Being Student Body President gave me a lot of self-confidence.
- I met Maris because I was Student Body President.
- I was interviewed by Governor Leavitt before he appointed me to the Utah State Board of Regents.
- I had Tyler 6 weeks before the start of my last year at the U.
- On my 18th birthday, I got a second hole in my left ear as a form of rebellion.
- On my 19th birthday, I got a third hole.
- Unfortunately, this was not the most rebellious thing I ever did.
- I regret my mistakes, but feel that I grew tremendously from living through them.
- I have not worn more than one earring in each ear since President Hinckley said we shouldn't.
- I have an intense faith that things always work out the way they are supposed to.
- I love the idea of running in a marathon someday.
- I hate running.
- I used to run everyday, and even though I loved the high I felt from running, I never learned to love the actual running.
- I feel like people think I am better than I am. I am afraid that one day I will be exposed as a fraud.
- I love planting flowers and watching them grow.
- I hate being cold.
- I would like to lose a few pounds, but am not willing to put forth the effort it would take to do it.
- I don't really like camping.
- Ward YW Camp director was one of the best callings I have ever had.
- I prefer to work with children and youth rather than adults.
- I love to do laundry.
- I procrastinate and let things pile up and then break down and do everything all at once.
- I work better with a deadline.
- I used to think I had great legs and a cute behind. Now I have varicose veins, cellulite and am pear shaped.
- Pregnancy is what changed my body.
- My three children are worth all of it and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
- But I still claim to weigh 130 on my driver's license.
- I wanted to be an attorney.
- I don't anymore.
- I have always loved to watch my kids sleeping.
- I love to read.
- I am an obsessive reader. I will read a lot for a month or so, then not pick up a book again for months.
- I am sometimes impulsive.
- Sometimes I regret my decisions when I am being impulsive.
- The person I admire the most is my mom.
- Next to Maris, she is my best friend.
- I am very self-conscious.
- When I meet new people, I am afraid they won't like me.
- I read into people's actions too much.
- I want to go to New York and meet Matt Lauer on the plaza.
- I like to travel.
- I cannot sing.
- I cannot dance, I am too uncoordinated.
- I wish I could sing and dance.
- I want to learn how to play the piano.
- My favorite colors have always been purple and green.
- I have started to like pink a lot too.
- I am afraid of snakes coming into my house through the plumbing (toilet) and my dryer vent.
- I love 80's music.
- It reminds me of being 16.
- I loved being 16, but never would be willing to do it again.
- My favorite age ever was 24.
- I felt like I was in complete control of my life when I was 24.
- When I was 24, I went to Washington DC.
- When I was 24, I went on a cruise.
- When I was 24, I had my own apartment in SLC.
- When I was 24, I took a temple preparedness class.
- When I was 24, I met Maris.
- When I was 24, I went to the temple for the first time.
- When I was 24, I married Maris.
- We only knew each other for 4 1/2 months when we were married.
- It has confirmed my faith that Heavenly Father knows us and our needs very well.
- I have grown to love Maris more than ever the past two years.
- The last two years have been the hardest years of my life.
- I have learned more in the last two years than I could have possibly imagined.
- The thing I miss most about Utah is being able to drive to my mom's whenever I wanted to.
- I know I can count on my family for anything.
- I didn't go on a mission because I was afraid of being called to South America or Mexico.
- When I am with Maris, I feel like I can do anything.
- I am afraid of losing a close family member.
- It is one trial I don't think I could survive.

- I wish I had more patience.
- I am better than I used to be.
- I am a good cook.
- I don't love cooking.
- I hate spending money on food.
- I love to send Christmas cards.
- I love to do things for other people. I don't like people to have to do things for me.
